Note: Honey Ant recently closed. It will reopen in the same building as a different cafe in March 2012.

Cafe Honey Ant is a short walk or shorter ride from the Kitano Hakubaicho train station in western Kyoto.

Also close are Kitano Tenmangu Shrine, Tojiin Temple, and Ritsumeikan University.

Honey Ant has lunch sets that are light and wonderful.

Perhaps the cafe's true forte though is bread.

Cafe Honey Ant does delicious bagels, Kyoto influenced breads, and more.

It is possible to buy at the counter and take out. However, the building itself is homey and warm. And perfect for a slow tea or coffee.
