Overview
Inoda Coffee Honten
Inoda Coffee is the grandaddy of Kyoto coffee shops.
Founded in 1940 in Kyoto, there are now six shops in central Kyoto.
In addition, Inoda can now be found in Kuzuha, Sapporo, Tokyo's Marutamachi district, and Hiroshima.
The main shop, pictured and featured here, seats 168 in a large but warm and welcoming old building.
Waiters and waitresses are dressed for the part.
From the menus to the menu, this is old school in the best sense.
Menu
Simple sandwiches, pasta, cakes, salads, ice cream, and a wide variety of coffees: German, blend, Arabian, Colombian, Premium, etc.
